Most superheroes 'types' of power tend to overlap, because some have more than one power or some have a object to add to their individual powers.
When looking at making my own idents related to superheroes i think i need to work with an overall view rather than an individual superhero characteristics like superman, i don't want to personalize to one individual too much.
You have a clear mission statement but need to get deeper into what you are looking to actually produce with ideas about aesthetics. Think more visually, sketch!
